The artificial intelligence industry has become a key force driving the rise and fall of the market, and its growing influence is causing the political community to worry that it may cause systemic risks. Just like the 2008 US housing bubble, its collapse triggered a global financial crisis. Due to this concern, the US House Progressive Party drafted a new House resolution requiring Congress to refuse any additional funding or special regulatory support to AI companies and financial institutions facing bankruptcy or collapse due to severe pressure on the AI market. This resolution is simply a non-binding proposal of opinion. However, Democratic Representative Greg Casar, one of the initiators, said that if the Democratic Party takes power in the next Congress, the resolution should be voted on as soon as possible so that Congress can take a stand on the AI rescue issue. Another co-sponsor, Maxine Waters, also stressed that despite the increasingly obvious signs of an AI bubble, big tech companies and Wall Street are still using billions of dollars in loan capital to take huge risks to promote the prosperity and development of artificial intelligence. The government must not let history repeat itself, and the American people should not once again be forced to pay for the risky speculation of billionaires.
