The Zhitong Finance App learned that aviation stocks rebounded collectively. As of press release, Cathay Pacific (00293) rose 3.66% to HK$13.86; China Eastern Airlines shares (00670) rose 2.90% to HK$2.31; China Southern Airlines shares (01055) rose 2.63% to HK$2.73; and Air China (00753) rose 1.45% to HK$3.49.

According to the news, DHL executive Ai Ruoxin pointed out that geopolitics are reshaping the supply chain, and the AI wave is jointly driving up freight rates. About 2/3 of AI high value-added products circulate through air transport, becoming the core growth engine for air cargo. Meanwhile, Europe and the US lifted tariff exemptions for small packages, and demand from telecom carriers slowed down, and part of the capacity turned to AI trade. For the week ending October 19, the Baltic Air Transport Index global index rose 4.7%, up 26.4% year on year, surpassing the high of the past two peak seasons.

Zhongtai Securities pointed out that at present, aviation stocks are still disturbed by factors such as fuel prices and ticket prices, but the current market may already have a lot of uncertainty about pricing, and we believe that the marginal impact of subsequent negative disturbances may be limited. In the future, aviation stock prices may be interpreted from the three stages of expected recovery, operational recovery, and performance restoration.
