Shuidi (WDH.US) Shen Peng selected for the “2026 Hurun U40 China Entrepreneurship Pioneers” list

On October 29, Hurun Research Institute, the world's largest startup company, released “2026 Hurun U40 Chinese Entrepreneurs”. 366 entrepreneurs aged 40 and under were on the list. Shen Peng, founder and CEO of Water Drop Company (WDH.US), was selected for the list. This is the third time since the list was released in 2023. Also selected at the same time were entrepreneurs such as Wang Xingxing, founder of Yushu Technology, Wang Ning, founder of Bubble Mart, Cai Haoyu, co-founder of MihaYou, and Yan Junjie, founder of Xiyu Technology.

“Hurun U40 Chinese Entrepreneurs” aims to find Chinese entrepreneurs aged 40 and under. The people on this year's list were all born after September 1, 1985, that is, 40 years old and under on September 1, 2026. The candidate is the core character of the enterprise, that is, the founder, co-founder, or business elite, and has a certain social influence. Many people regard this list as an important reference for observing changes in the structure of China's next-generation entrepreneurial power.

The five segments with the highest concentration of first-generation entrepreneurs on this list are: robotics and physical intelligence (13%), enterprise software and digital services (8%), AI big models and agents (5%), cell gene therapy and innovative drugs (5%), and intelligent driving and wire-controlled chassis (4%). The entry threshold for first-generation entrepreneurs is the enterprise value of 100 million US dollars or more, and the average value of first-generation entrepreneurs is 17 billion yuan. The top three industries covered by second-generation successors were industrial equipment (16%), chemicals (14%), and life and health (10%).

As an honorary recipient of Hurun U40 China's Entrepreneurial Pioneer, Shen Peng joined the Meituan startup team in 2010, became the No. 10 employee, and participated in the joint establishment of Meituan Takeout in 2013. In 2016, he founded Shuidi and promoted its growth into a leading insurance technology and healthcare platform in China. Shuidi insists on using technology to drive the upgrade of inclusive health insurance, and adheres to the “AI native” development strategy, and invests nearly 300 million yuan in technology research and development every year.

Up to now, Shuidi has applied for nearly 200 artificial intelligence patents and applied for more than 100 patents related to large models. Through self-development of the “Water Drop Water Protection Model” and the systematic implementation of innovative applications such as the first AI underwriting expert “KEYI.AI” in China, AI intelligent customer service “Bao Xiaohui”, and AI intelligent quality inspection, Shuidi has achieved significant improvements in service efficiency and user experience. Recently, Beijing Shuishou Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shuidi Company, was successfully selected as the “3rd China Top 50 Artificial Intelligence Technology Companies - Emerging Artificial Intelligence Companies” with its deep AI implementation capabilities on the insurance and healthcare vertical circuit. In September of this year, Shen Peng was hired as a visiting professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and delivered a speech on “Technology Helps Guarantee Inclusion: A Review of Ten Years of Exploring Water Droplets of Social Enterprises”. In his speech, he summarized the path of water droplets as an extension of technological inclusion from major disease fund-raising and insurance coverage to pharmaceutical innovation.
