French Flash Annual Inflation Rate Rises to 3.4% in October

03:56 AM EDT, 10/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- France's annual inflation edged up to 3.4% in October from 3.1% in the previous month, provisional data from statistics agency Insee showed Friday. The reading came in higher than the consensus estimate of 3.2%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices were 0.4% higher, against the prior 0.3% decline and the expected 0.2% uptick. The flash annual harmonized inflation rate came in at 3.8%, against the previous month's 3.4% and the market forecast of 3.6%. Month over month, harmonized consumer prices gained 0.4%, against the previous 0.3% decrease and the expected 0.3% gain.
