The reporter learned yesterday from China's Green Hair Group that the world's largest 60 megawatt liquid air energy storage national demonstration project was successfully connected to the grid to generate electricity, achieving a major breakthrough in the engineering and commercialization of liquid air energy storage technology. The liquid air energy storage project is located in Golmud City, Qinghai Province. It has a total scale of 60,000 kilowatts. It can help consume 600,000 kilowatts of clean energy every day, and the annual transmission capacity is about 180 million kilowatts, meeting the annual electricity needs of 30,000 households. The project uses the core process of 194℃ ultra-low temperature cryogenic liquefaction, using air as the working material to store and release electric energy and cooling energy under normal pressure and ultra-low temperature conditions, and has the advantages of large scale, long time efficiency, and long life.
