Kesko Acquires Saint-Gobain's Dahl Business in Three Nordic Countries

08:03 AM EST, 11/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Kesko (KESKOA.HE, KESKOB.HE) acquired French building materials company Compagnie de Saint-Gobain's (SGO.PA) Dahl specialist distribution business in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The Finnish retailer will fund the deal, valued at 1.2 billion euros on a debt-free basis, excluding lease commitments, using bridge financing, which it plans to refinance with equity and debt after the transaction closes, according to a Monday release. The acquired businesses will continue operating as separate units under the Dahl brand, with results consolidated into Kesko's accounts.
