10:58 AM EST, 11/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK Financial Conduct Authority published its final rules for environmental, social and governance rating providers, bringing them under its regulation for the first time. The new framework introduces transparency and governance requirements, among others, aimed at improving the reliability and comparability of ESG ratings to help investors make better-informed investment decisions, the FCA said in a Tuesday release. Starting from June 27, 2027, ESG rating providers in the country must apply for the regulator's authorization. The new rules are set to come into force on June 29, 2028.
