October saw major changes to the leaderboard of the most-searched stocks on Benzinga Pro.
Three newcomers joined the top 12 after being off the list for a while.
CoreWeave, Microsoft and Amazon.com were the month’s newcomers. Microsoft ranked in the top 12 back in July. CoreWeave and Amazon have not been in the top 12 for even longer. CoreWeave and Amazon both made the top 12 list at the end of 2025, suggesting they were more popular last year than this year.
The increased interest in these three stocks could signal the importance of the AI and data center trades.
Dropping out of the list in September were Oracle, Dell Technologies and Bloom Energy, which ranked 7th, 8th and 10th respectively.
The movers up the list for October were Micron, SpaceX, Tesla and the Invesco QQQ Trust. Among them, SpaceX had the biggest monthly gain in search interest, moving up eight places.
There were several stocks that moved down the list in September: Meta Platforms, Nvidia and Apple. Of the stocks seeing less interest in October, Apple was the biggest descent, going from second place in September to eighth place in October.
The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust remained strong in first place for a second straight month. The popular ETF typically ranks first or second each month.
Robinhood Markets ranked 12th for a second straight month.
With only two months left in the year, it will be interesting to see how many of the popular names stay on the list and which tickers made the top 12 in each of the 12 months of the year.
