On November 4, 2026, Dragon Zhou, Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, and Sheikh Hisa, Assistant Deputy Minister for Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, co-hosted the third round of Sino-Arab consular consultations in Abu Dhabi. The two sides focused on in-depth exchanges of views on topics such as Sino-Arab consular relations, facilitation of personnel exchanges, and safeguarding the safety and legitimate rights and interests of overseas citizens. The two sides agreed to implement the important consensus of the heads of state of the two countries, strengthen communication and coordination in the consular field, further raise the level of facilitation of personnel exchanges between the two sides, maintain the safety and legitimate rights and interests of personnel and institutions between the two sides, create safe and convenient conditions for cultural exchanges and practical cooperation in various fields between the two countries, and push Sino-Arab relations to a new level.
