From November 2 to 4, Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng led a delegation to visit Hong Kong. Huai Jinpeng had in-depth exchanges with the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Li Jiachao, on implementing Hong Kong's first five-year plan, supporting Hong Kong's unique advantages to serve as a strong nation in education, and promoting patriotism education for Hong Kong youth. Working talks were held with Zhou Ji, director of the Central Government's Liaison Office in Hong Kong, and discussions were held with the Hong Kong Education Bureau and some Hong Kong universities. While in Hong Kong, Huai Jinpeng attended the World's Top University Presidents' Forum and delivered a keynote speech. He met with the presidents of universities such as Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, and the University of Manchester in the UK. Huai Jinpeng also investigated the Hetao Hong Kong Park to examine the park's integrated efforts to promote the development of educational science and technology talents and carry out Shenzhen-Hong Kong science and innovation collaboration.
