Appian: Q3 Earnings Snapshot

MCLEAN, Va. (AP) — MCLEAN, Va. (AP) — Appian Corp. (APPN) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $12.3 million.

The McLean, Virginia-based company said it had profit of 17 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, were 51 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 32 cents per share.

The business process management software provider posted revenue of $234.6 million in the period.

For the current quarter ending in December, Appian expects its per-share earnings to range from 30 cents to 34 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $233 million to $237 million for the fiscal fourth quarter.

Appian expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.20 to $1.24 per share, with revenue ranging from $873 million to $877 million.

Appian shares have risen 41% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 72% in the last 12 months.
