The General Administration of Market Regulation launched the fourth batch of innovative national trade secret protection pilot work. According to information, since the General Administration of Market Regulation launched the national trade secret protection innovation pilot work in 2022, it has successively identified 4 batches of 61 pilot regions to promote the continuous deepening of trade secret protection from “promoting social awareness” to “effective service development”, and from “unilateral innovation” to “systematic governance.” Based on actual reforms and exploration, each pilot region has formed more than 450 institutional achievements, covering key areas such as the Internet, integrated circuits, biomedicine, artificial intelligence, etc., and the trade secret protection system has gradually improved. In response to the focus of trade secret infringement, market supervisory authorities across the country continued to step up administrative enforcement efforts. In the first three quarters of 2026, a total of 108 trade secret infringement cases were investigated and handled nationwide, and enforcement effectiveness continued to improve. In the next step, the fourth batch of innovative pilot regions will focus on advancing key tasks to a high standard, such as deepening protection rules for key industries, solving “difficult proof and difficult certification” practical problems, serving enterprises going overseas, and improving the quality and efficiency of law enforcement, so as to push the pilot from “expanding the scope” to “solving problems.” The conference simultaneously promoted the mature experience of the first batch of pilots, continued to amplify the far-reaching radiation effect, accelerate the construction of a multi-party collaborative trade secret protection pattern, and provide strong support for stimulating R&D innovation, maintaining fair competition, and empowering the development of new quality productivity.
