Scicom secures 15-year contract for TVET digital platform

PETALING JAYA: Scicom (MSC) Bhd has secured a letter of award by the Government-industry technical and vocational education and training (TVET) coordination body for the development and implementation of GITC's TVET digital platform placement centre.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Scicom said the initial term of the contract is for 15 years, subject to renewal at the end of the period.

“The contract is to be based on a variable business model over the term of the contract.”

Scicom said the contract involves the development and implementation of a comprehensive digital platform, utilising an innovative self-funding mechanism.

“It is aligned with GITC's objectives of modernising Malaysia's TVET sector. The contract highlights Scicom's expertise in technology solutions and will further strengthen its position in the public sector.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings and financial performance of Scicom with effect from financial year 2026.”

Scicom said GITC is a collaborative platform established to bridge the gap between the needs of industries and the education provided by TVET institutions in Malaysia.
