MGB bags Saudi Arabia job worth RM89mil

PETALING JAYA: MGB Bhd has accepted two purchase orders from Saudi Arabia-based Sany Alameriah Industrial worth RM88.57mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, MGB said purchase orders pertain to the supply and installation of precast elements for Al Arous - Phase 1 single family residential units – Zone B and C, as well as public amenities within the Roshn Alarous development located north of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

“Other scope of work includes design and build, engineering, fabrication and rectification, amongst others.

“The supply and installation of the precast concrete products, estimated to comprise 42,000 cubic metres of precast concrete products, equivalent to 326 units of properties.”

MGB noted that the Roshn Alarous development, nicknamed “The Bride of the Red Sea”, will offer more than 2,200 single family units, as well as pedestrian-friendly streets and neighbourhoods, green spaces alongside retail, sports and other recreational amenities.

“The entire scope of supply and installation of precast elements shall be completed within 14 months from the commencement date,” it said.
