Concrete Engineering chairman Abdul Rahman resigns

PETALING JAYA: Concrete Engineering Products Bhd has announced the resignation of its chairman, Abdul Rahman Siraj.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Concrete Engineering said Abdul Rahman, 66, had resigned to pursue other interests. According to the group’s annual report, Abdul Rahman is a qualified accountant with more than 35 years in corporate planning, strategic management and business development.

“Abdul Rahman joined Khazanah Nasional Bhd as general manager in 1995 and was given the task of overseeing Khazanah’s new investment programme both locally and overseas. He served Khazanah for two years and later joined Intria Bhd as its director in business development.

“In 1997, he was appointed as the chief executive officer (CEO) of KBI (Malaysia) Bhd, a position he held for three years until September 2000. Thereafter, he was appointed as CEO of Taliworks Corp Bhd, a position he held until 2009.”
