PETALING JAYA: Citaglobal Bhd has entered into a joint development agreement (JDA) with Singapore-based Keppel Sustainability Solutions Pte Ltd to collaborate on bio-compressed natural gas (Bio-CNG) upgrading facility related projects in the states of Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu.

Citaglobal is involved in civil engineering and construction, oil and gas, utility and manufacturing.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Citaglobal said the JDA positions Citaglobal Group to participate in the Bio-CNG sector.

“The project is expected to generate stable and recurring income streams for the group while complementing the development of the 247-acre Citaglobal Bioenergy & Green Eco Park, an industrial development that integrates green technologies and sustainable features within an eco-friendly industrial park.

“The Citaglobal Bioenergy & Green Eco Park is strategically located within the Gebeng Industrial Estate, Pahang, an established industrial hub with excellent access to key infrastructure, including ports, highways, and the upcoming ECRL.”

The company noted that the East Coast Rail Link, spanning approximately 665 kilometres, will significantly enhance connectivity between the east and west coasts of Peninsular Malaysia.

“The development is situated along Gebeng Bypass and is surrounded by the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park.

“The project is expected to benefit from the area’s robust industrial ecosystem and enhanced connectivity, while reinforcing Citaglobal’s commitment to advancing green technologies and promoting environmental sustainability through the Citaglobal Bioenergy & Green Eco Park.”
