KPJ Healthcare's 3Q net profit rises to RM93.91mil

KUALA LUMPUR: KPJ Healthcare Bhd said it remains cautiously optimistic about its prospects for the current financial year amid its ongoing asset optimisation programme, capacity expansion and efforts to enhance operational efficiency.

In a stock exchange filing, the healthcare group said net profit in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2025, rose to RM93.91mil from RM86.03mil in the year-ago quarter, which translated to an earnings per share of 2.15 sen against 1.97 sen previously.

It reported quarterly revenue of RM1.12bil, up from RM1.03bil in 3QFY24, largely contributed by the increase in patients’ visits, as well as increased bed capacity in the current quarter compared to the corresponding quarter.

According to the filing, the Malaysia segment contributed to about 99% of the group's total revenue, which amounted to RM1.1bil, up 8%from the same quarter in 2024.

Other segments recorded a 27% year-on-year increase in revenue to RM16mil.

For the nine-month period, the group's net profit came to RM233.03mil, which was slightly under RM233.3mil recorded in the year-ago period. Revenue in 9MFY25 was RM3.11bil compared to RM2.85bil in the previous corresponding period.

The board of directors approved an interim dividend of 1.23 sen per share for shareholders registered at the close of business on Dec 5, 2025, to be paid on Dec 23, 2025.
