KLK appoints Tan Ting Min as independent director

KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd (KLK) has appointed Tan Ting Min as an independent non-executive director effective Dec 1, 2025.

In a statement, the plantation group said Tan brings over 25 years of experience in equity research and investment, with deep expertise in the regional plantation sector and Malaysia-focused investment strategies.

She brings deep sector expertise and microeconomic insights to the leadership team, particularly in investment strategy, asset allocation, investor engagement and assessing operational and transactional risks.

Tan started her finance career at KE-Zan Securities Sdn Bhd before joining Credit Suisse Securities (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as an investment analyst in 1994.

She rose through the ranks and was promoted to director, leading the regional plantation research team covering Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. She also served as Credit Suisse’s head of research from 2010 to 2017, writing on Malaysia strategy.

Under her leadership, the Credit Suisse Malaysian equity research team ranked first in the Institutional Investor Poll for seven consecutive years.

After retiring in 2017, she served as an independent non-executive director on the board of SD Guthrie Bhd from 2017 to 2023.

She currently serves as an independent director of IJM Corp Bhd and also sits on the boards of CIMB Investment Bank Bhd and IJM Land Bhd.

Tan holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Natural Sciences, specialising in Plant Biotechnology and a Master of Arts, both from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
