South Korean officials said on Wednesday that starting next year, more South Korean companies will be required to submit regulatory documents in English, which will increase transparency and provide broader market access for foreign investors. The Korea Financial Services Commission said that the mandatory submission of regulatory documents in English will be expanded from KOSPI listed companies with assets of 10 trillion won or more to companies with assets of 2 trillion won or less. The new disclosure requirements will come into effect on May 1.
