In the first 11 months of 2025, China's software and information technology service industry (hereinafter referred to as the “software industry”) operated well. Software business revenue grew steadily, total profit growth slowed, and software business exports maintained positive growth.

I. Overall operation

In the first 11 months, China's software business revenue was 13977.7 billion yuan, an increase of 13.3% over the previous year. The total profit of the software industry was 1695.4 billion yuan, an increase of 6.6% over the previous year. The software business exported 56.89 billion US dollars, up 8.1% year on year. The growth rate remained positive for 9 consecutive months.

II. Operation by field

Revenue from software products is growing steadily. In the first 11 months, software product revenue was 2950.9 billion yuan, up 11.4% year on year, accounting for 21.1% of the industry's revenue. Among them, revenue from basic software products was 180.1 billion yuan, up 12.9% year on year; revenue from industrial software products was 295.1 billion yuan, up 10.2% year on year.

IT services revenue continued to grow in double digits. In the first 11 months, IT service revenue was 9610.4 billion yuan, an increase of 14.6% over the previous year, accounting for 68.8% of the industry's revenue. Among them, cloud computing and big data services achieved a total revenue of 1465.8 billion yuan, up 12.8% year on year, accounting for 15.3% of IT service revenue; integrated circuit design revenue of 402.8 billion yuan, up 16.5% year on year; and e-commerce platform technology service revenue of 1294.4 billion yuan, up 12.5% year on year.

Information security revenue and embedded systems software revenue are growing steadily. In the first 11 months, revenue from information security products and services was 2001 billion yuan, an increase of 6.9% over the previous year. Embedded system software revenue was 1216.2 billion yuan, up 9.3% year over year.

III. Operation by region

In the first 11 months, software business revenue in the eastern region, central region, western region, and northeast region increased by 13.7%, 13.2%, 10.3%, and 9.6%, respectively. The eastern region accounts for 83.4% of the country's software business revenue. Software business revenue in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region increased 15.0% year on year, and software business revenue in the Yangtze River Delta region increased 14.8% year on year. The two regions accounted for 25.8% and 28.5% of the country's software business revenue respectively. The software business revenue in Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shandong and Shanghai ranked among the top 5 in the country, with year-on-year increases of 15.2%, 10.1%, 14.3%, 14.6%, and 20.7%, respectively.
