05:15 AM EST, 12/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Berenberg nudged down its price target for Xaar (XAR.L) to 1.40 pounds sterling from 1.60 pounds sterling, citing more cautious expectations on the electric vehicle battery market over the short term. "The recent news from Ford about its revised EV strategy and the uncertain outlook for European and UK regulations causes us to apply more caution to our assumptions. The switch to full battery-powered EVs by 2035 looks in doubt and therefore the capex environment for investment in new battery [insulation] technologies that Xaar is developing with its partners could be delayed," analysts said in a note published Wednesday. The research firm also adjusted its financial forecasts for 2026 and 2027, including lower expected sales and EPS for both years, on the back of reduced desktop 3D printer volume projections and potentially higher finance costs. Despite this, Berenberg reaffirmed its buy rating on the stock, saying it continues to see a "clear" growth opportunity in the British inkjet technology company. "[The] timing of new product launches has historically been, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future, in its customers' control. We think there is an opportunity for the Product Print business to strategically shift in 2026," the research firm noted.
