The Zhitong Finance App learned that data from the Ministry of Transport shows that on December 31, 2025, the entire society moved 207.763 million people across regions, an increase of 33.7% over the previous year and an increase of 25.4% over the previous year. Among them, railway passenger traffic was 16.682 million, an increase of 65.4% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 60%.

The number of people moving on highways (including the number of non-commercial passenger cars traveling on highways and ordinary national and provincial highways, and commercial highway passenger traffic) was 18.28 million, an increase of 30.7% over the previous year, and an increase of 22.8% over the previous year. Among them, the number of commercial passenger traffic on highways was 3.05 million, up 26.1% from the previous year, and the number of non-commercial passenger cars traveling on highways and ordinary national and provincial highways was 152.23 million, an increase of 31.9% over the previous year, an increase of 21.3% over the previous year.

The number of passengers carried by waterways was 626,000, up 11% month-on-month and 32.3% year-on-year.

The passenger volume of civil aviation was 2.175 million, up 4.2% month-on-month and 21.2% year-on-year.
