On January 2, local time, foreign ministers of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt issued a joint statement on the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, expressing concern over the continued deterioration of the local humanitarian situation. The statement pointed out that due to recent bad and unstable weather, the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip has further intensified. Living conditions for local people continue to deteriorate amid restrictions on access to humanitarian aid, severe shortages of critical life-saving supplies, and slow access to infrastructure restoration and temporary resettlement supplies.
