Petrobras announced on the 2nd that Brazil's Buzius Phase 6 project, with the participation and interest of CNOOC, will be officially put into operation on December 31, 2025, local time. The project is located in the Santos Basin in the southeastern waters of Brazil. The operating water depth is 1,900 meters to 2,200 meters. It uses the deep-water salt development model of a “floating production oil storage and offloading device+underwater production system”. The project is designed to produce about 25,000 tons of crude oil per day and 7.2 million cubic meters of natural gas per day. With the sixth phase of the project put into operation, the daily production capacity of the Buzius oil field will exceed 1.15 million barrels.
