According to Haikou Customs statistics, two days before the New Year's Day holiday, Haikou Customs supervised a total of 307,000 duty-free sales on the outlying islands of Hainan, an increase of 48.3%; the number of shoppers reached 65,000, an increase of 60.9%; and the shopping amount reached 505 million yuan, an increase of 121.5% over the previous year.
