Shentong Metro announced that by the end of 2025, the 4.9 MW distributed photovoltaic project built by the wholly-owned subsidiary Shanghai Metro Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. in 2025 has all been connected to the grid. It involves 5 bases including Shanghai Metro Line 4 Puhuitang, Line 5 Xinzhuang, Line 11, Beizhai Road, Line 17, and Zhujiajiao. The average annual power generation capacity is expected to be about 5.2 million kWh in the future, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 0.20,000 tons and saving about 0.15,000 tons of standard coal. New energy companies are expected to generate more than 70 million kWh of electricity for the full year of 2025, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 29,000 tons, and save more than 193,000 tons of standard coal.
