The Emergency Management Authority of Yobe State in northeastern Nigeria posted a statement on social media on the 4th saying that a simple ferry capsized on the evening of the 3rd on a river within the Nguru local government area of the state. It has now been confirmed that 25 people have died, 13 have been rescued, and 14 others are missing.
