According to reports from Battery Network, on December 31, 2025, Zhongwei Xingyang Mining, a subsidiary of Zhongwei Co., Ltd., held a launch ceremony for the new phosphate project in Longshui Township, Kaiyang County, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. According to the Xinchang Phosphate Mine “Mining License” obtained by Zhongwei Xingyang Mining on January 21, 2025, the newly launched phosphate mine covers an area of 6.6999 square kilometers, with a proposed construction scale of 2.8 million tons/year, and the mining period is valid for 10 years.

Also, according to the “Exploration Report”, the mine has a total resource volume of 984.405 million tons, which is a large-scale phosphate resource. According to reports, this project, along with the 200,000 tons of iron phosphate production line with an annual output of 200,000 tons and a high-end lithium iron phosphate production capacity with an annual output of 50,000 tons at the Kaiyang base of Zhongwei Co., Ltd. has jointly become the core project of Zhongwei's phosphorus system's “mineral-chemical-material-recycling” integrated strategy.
