Ferronordic Unit Strikes $17 Million Deal to Acquire Housby Heavy Equipment

12:20 AM EST, 01/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Ferronordic (FNM.ST) said Tuesday that its unit Rudd Equipment Co. agreed to acquire Housby Heavy Equipment, a US dealer for AB Volvo (VOLV-B.ST, VOLV-A.ST), d/b/a Volvo Group, unit Volvo Construction Equipment, for an estimated $17 million. The deal, to be financed primarily through debt, includes the purchase of assets such as machines in inventory and rental fleet, which will be incorporated into Rudd Equipment Co.'s general inventories. The transaction is scheduled to close on Jan. 30. Following completion, the acquired business will operate as a branch of Rudd, which will retain all 26 Housby employees, alongside corporate support staff.
