On January 7, 2026, GCL officially signed a memorandum of understanding with CNPC, a subsidiary of the world's top 500 oil company. The two sides will focus deeply on the geographical characteristics and urbanization pain points of the Indonesian archipelago, solve the urban solid waste problem in the field of waste incineration power generation, use integrated optical storage technology to respond to the distributed energy needs of the islands, and rely on gas power plant projects to ensure a stable power grid base load. At the same time, they will carry out closed-loop cooperation at the level of related technology transfer, core equipment supply and operation support, and jointly explore “zero carbon+ guarantee” solutions adapted to Indonesia's national conditions.
