Hyundai fell 2.43%, Kia fell 3.56%; steel manufacturer POSCO Holdings fell 2.11%, while pharmaceutical company Samsung Biologics rose 6.79%. Samsung Electronics announced on Thursday that operating profit for the fourth quarter is estimated to have tripled year-on-year and reached a record high, driving up traditional memory chip prices due to tight supply and a surge in demand driven by artificial intelligence.
