Sunrise Communications Mulls Job Cuts to Streamline Operations

12:05 AM EST, 01/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Sunrise Communications (SUNN.SW) said Thursday it is considering reducing up to 190 jobs as part of efforts to simplify its organization. The Swiss telecommunications services company noted that the redundancies could also impact various leadership positions. Shop and customer-service employees with direct customer contact will largely be spared from potential redundancies, while apprentices are not affected at all. Consultations with employee representatives and the syndicom trade union are already underway, with final decisions expected in February and March.
