US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright said on Friday that Chevron saw a way to increase its production in Venezuela by 50%. He made this comment after US President Trump held a meeting with oil companies on South American countries. Wright said: “Chevron said we've taken some action and can do some extra things for them... it's just licensing and approval. He added that the company sees “a way to increase production by 50% over the next 18-24 months.” Wright also said that Washington's interaction with Venezuela was “fantastic.” Trump met with executives from some of the world's largest oil companies at the White House on Friday to discuss the Venezuelan issue.
